Texans deserve more than promises. They deserve a Land Commissioner who gets results, protects public resources, and makes government work for the people it serves.

My administration will focus on delivering faster disaster recovery, stronger public schools, better care for veterans, and transparent management of Texas lands.

Here's what I plan to accomplish.

1. The First 90 Days: Accountability Starts on Day One

Follow the money. Find the problems. Fix what's broken.

During my first 90 days, I will launch a comprehensive review of the General Land Office to identify inefficiencies, examine public spending, and determine where Texans are being underserved.

My priorities will include:

• Reviewing Hurricane Harvey disaster recovery funding, including outstanding commitments, payments, and unfinished projects.

• Examining contracts, procurement practices, and spending across major GLO programs.

• Auditing veterans' care providers and evaluating the quality of services delivered.

• Reviewing state-land and energy leasing practices to identify opportunities for greater public benefit.

• Evaluating cybersecurity protections and safeguards for taxpayer funds and sensitive information.

• Publishing findings and a corrective-action plan so Texans can see what needs to change.

The goal is simple: 90 days to identify the problems, establish accountability, and begin delivering solutions.

2. GLO 2030: A New Vision for Texas

More opportunity. Better management. A stronger future.

My GLO 2030 Plan will modernize the General Land Office and make Texas public lands work harder for Texas families.

I will expand responsible energy leasing opportunities involving oil, natural gas, wind, solar, and geothermal energy to increase revenue benefiting the Permanent School Fund.

I will work to put underutilized state lands to productive use, attract responsible investment, and explore opportunities to support affordable housing through strategic land agreements.

My goal is to strengthen public education funding, support economic development, and ensure that Texas receives fair value from its public resources.

Texas has the resources. We need leadership that makes the most of them.

3. Hurricane Harvey: Deliver the Recovery Texans Were Promised

Texans have waited long enough.

Hurricane Harvey struck in 2017. Families and communities are still dealing with the consequences.

Within my first 30 days, I will prioritize identifying outstanding Harvey recovery funds, addressing avoidable administrative delays, and moving eligible payments forward as quickly as federal requirements allow.

I will work to establish transparent reporting so Texans can see where recovery dollars have gone, which projects remain unfinished, and what stands in the way of completion.

Disaster recovery should be measured by homes rebuilt and communities restored, not press releases and political promises.

4. Veterans First: Better Care, Closer to Home

They kept their promise. It's time we kept ours.

I will use my leadership of the Veterans Land Board to improve the services Texas veterans and their families have earned.

Within my first 90 days, I will initiate a comprehensive quality review of veterans' care providers and contracts, with a focus on safety, accountability, and correcting deficiencies.

I will also work to expand veterans' housing and loan assistance, pursue a new veterans' care facility in the Coastal Bend, and advocate for a full-service VA hospital in the Rio Grande Valley.

I will strengthen partnerships addressing veteran homelessness and work to make existing benefits easier to access.

No veteran should be forgotten after serving our country.

5. Protect Our Coast and Prepare for the Next Disaster

Ready before the storm. There for you afterward.

Texas cannot afford to wait until the next hurricane to prepare.

I will strengthen partnerships with local communities, conservation organizations, and federal agencies to improve coastal resilience.

That includes supporting living shorelines, restoring wetlands, strengthening natural storm barriers, and improving disaster preparedness.

I will also pursue rapid-response coordination teams and a roster of qualified contractors to help communities navigate recovery programs more efficiently.

When disaster strikes, Texans deserve a government that is prepared to act.

6. Transparency, Efficiency, and Public Trust

Public resources should produce public results.

I will bring my professional background in cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management to the General Land Office.

My administration will prioritize transparent spending, stronger contract oversight, improved cybersecurity, and measurable performance standards.

I will work to make information about disaster recovery, major contracts, and agency performance more accessible to the public.

Texans should not have to fight through government bureaucracy just to find out what is happening with their money.

My Commitment

I'm not running to maintain the status quo. I'm running to make the General Land Office work better.

That means holding government accountable, strengthening our public schools, honoring our veterans, protecting our coast, and ensuring disaster recovery works for the families who need it.

My GLO 2030 Plan lays out the vision. My first 90 days will begin the work.
