I will prioritize getting money to our public schools that need it most because no student should attend a school that needs major repairs. I’ll also improve and expand veteran support services and reduce the burden of them traveling long distances to receive assistance or medical treatment.

I'll invite more solar and wind energy producers to join the oil and gas companies operating on state land. This will increase the available energy on the electric grid quickly and in an environmentally conscious manner, meeting the needs of businesses today and tomorrow. Bringing in new producers will also increase revenue, allowing us to help school districts lower their property taxes and to enhance veterans service programs. And I’ll embrace innovation to maximize the use of state lands to benefit Texas.

There’s nothing Texans can’t do when we work together. Whether it’s increase the funding to our schools or help our veterans closer to where they live, my promise is to be the Land Commissioner who puts the needs of Texans First. Always.
